Program Description:

Join Dave Vance, Executive Director of the Center for Talent Reporting, to learn best practice management principles that you can use working with clients without a strong business background and that you can also use to help reach agreement on the value of your coaching.

Dave will provide an overview of Talent Development Reporting principles with an emphasis on the principles and practices relevant for coaching.  In particular, attention will be focused on establishing the coaching agreement and the goals, value, and roles of both parties in the coaching relationship. 

In this webinar you will learn:

  • The basic management principles of planning, reporting, and execution
  • How to reach upfront agreement with the client regarding the goals and the measure of success from the coaching relationship

 

About our Speaker:

 

David Vance is Executive Director of the Center for Talent Reporting and co-author of the Talent Development Reporting Principles (TDRp). He was President of Caterpillar University from 2001 -2007, and was named 2006 Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of the Year by Chief Learning Officer magazine. Caterpillar was ranked #1 in the 2005 BEST awards and named Corporate University of the year in 2004. He is also author of The Business of Learning: How to Manage Corporate Training to Improve Your Bottom Line.

Prior to leading Cat U, Dave was Chief Economist and Head of the Business Intelligence Group at Caterpillar. Dave received his Bachelor of Science Degree in political science from M.I.T. in 1974, a Master of Science Degree in business administration from Indiana University (South Bend) in 1983, and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame in 1988. He teaches in the Ph.D. programs at Bellevue University and the University of Southern Mississippi, and he is also the Lead Independent Director for State Farm Mutual Funds.
