Hayley Cutler, M.F.A. is a choreographer, performer and dance educator based in Washington, DC. She is the founder and Artistic Director ofdarlingdance, a feminist postmodern dance company currently in its eighth season. She is the recipient of two Arts and Humanities Fellowship Grants from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (2018, 2019) and a Choreographers’ Commission award from Dance Metro DC (2015). As an educator, Hayley is on the faculty of The George Washington University’s Theater & Dance department, and is the founder of darlingspace, a boutique dance education studio located in Shaw, DC. She is also a freelance teaching artist with a number of arts non-proﬁts including ArtStream, Inc., Melwood VA, Project Create DC, Imagination Stage and Joy of Motion Dance Center. Hayley received her MFA and BA in Dance from The George Washington University, and a postgraduate diploma from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, London. When Hayley is not creating, performing or teaching dance, she’s watching it, writing about it and talking about it.
