Topic: Wake Up & Heal Thyself: An Integrated Approach to Helping Others

Description:

Donna Kater shares her experience counseling laid off workers from the aerospace industry and how she coached herself into a new career in Oriental Medicine. She owned a healing clinic in San Diego and worked as a licensed acupuncturist for several years until physical injuries forced her to let go of the career she had spent many years studying. She shares her own experience of broken bones and heartbreak and what it takes to not only survive, but to thrive and come alive again. She encourages us to excel in self-care as we help take care of others so that we avoid burnout, and renew our own energy as we go along.

You will learn:

  • Why it is your responsibility as a helper of others that you take extremely good care of yourself
  • Different modalities that can help you and your clients to maintain and increase health
  • Why to consider partnering with others in the wellness field, such as acupuncture, Reiki and therapeutic massage

About the Presenter:

Known as “The Encourager”, best-selling author Donna Kater has over 20 years of experience helping people find their paths in their careers and life. She has written a book called I’m Still Alive, Now What?!? How to Survive and Thrive After a Life-Changing Event, published in 2016.

Donna has reinvented herself more than once. Prior to being an author and coach, she had professional careers as a college counselor, career counselor, and acupuncturist. She supplemented her graduate degrees in Psychology, Counseling and Oriental Medicine with personal mentoring by Jack Canfield, the co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and the Success Principles.

Donna has a great understanding of energetic medicine and how the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects work together. Her favorite people to assist are the helpers of the world – the coaches, counselors, teachers, and therapists.

Contact Donna at 858-633-7929 or DonnaHKater@gmail.com. Her website is LiveWithBoldness.com which has Resources for Therapists.

All the Best,
