Program Description:

If we don’t know how to coach in the moment, then we are missing out on coaching opportunities. As an ontological coach, I am on my coaching game at any moment. What if I run into someone sitting in public at my favorite coffee shop? Or standing in a line that doesn’t seem to be moving? I’ve learned to pick up a conversation anywhere. It could lead to a lucrative contract in a small business or a personal coaching client. Many of my coaching clients have been those who have shared offhand something painful for them, such as “I could never do that” or, “I always wanted to do…” or “yes, when I was younger, I thought I could ”x” and never took the chance; now it’s too late.”  Ha! This time will be filled with live coaching, in the moment, based on usually a surprise awakening for the client.

About Our Speaker:

Patricia Hirsch is the founder and President of Design Your Life Coaching (est. 2001), a professional coaching and leadership development company, where as an ICF Master Certified Coach, she practices coaching globally as an Executive Personal Coach. Through individual and group coaching, she has worked extensively to facilitate relationships across cultural, educational, emotional and other discourses with a focus on senior executives, board members, teams and individuals. She has delivered key addresses to healthcare, financial and coaching organizations and regularly leads teleconferencing classes to a global audience. Patricia’s coaching and leadership development ontological methodology is grounded in somatic, linguistic and emotional competence. She draws on each of these domains in her work with clients to raise awareness, enable action and generate sustainable and high levels of performance.

Patricia has worked on numerous organizational initiatives. During the past 30 years, she has held numerous mentoring, leadership and management positions. She remains active on rosters for high impact change organizations, which include as President for ICF-OC Chapter, and a member of International Coach Federation (ICF) global committees. Patricia has coached and mentored coaching students in an ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP).

Her recent contribution was as ICF Credentialing Committee Member for ensuring a credentialing system is updated to the standards for which the 18,000+ members measure their continuing professionalism. Patricia adheres to the ICF’s purpose to support and advance the coaching profession through accredited coach training programs, credentialing and standards while they remain the global authoritative source on coaching information and research for the public.

Patricia has been a Talk Show Host of a global, syndicated radio show on BlogTalkRadio, hosting “Design Your Life: Coaching for New Choices” on the benefits of hiring coaches who have gone through the rigorous ICF accreditation and credentialing. Patricia became a Talk Show Host in 2006, supporting the emerging profession of coaching and interviewing certified and credentialed coaches worldwide on the professional practice and applications of the coaching profession.

Patricia not only holds several professional coaching certifications, she holds a B.S.N. degree from the University of Nevada Reno and M.B.A. degree from the University of Phoenix. She has worked as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in Intensive Care Units, as Manager/Mentor/Coach in the Medical Information Systems field, and as United States Coast Guard licensed Private Captain, and coach, where she captained people off-shore cruising on adventure trips offering coaching and training on 40-50 foot sailboats as individuals and in groups. She continues to seek out learning to support her in goals of introducing new awareness of competence from the domains of cultural, educational and emotional discourses.
