Dear Career Coaches:

We are delighted to announce that back by popular demand our Career Coach SIG speaker for Wednesday, November 11th,  2015 will be Ann Deaton, PhD, PCC, presenting: “Leveraging Emotions as You Build Your Coaching Skills and Practice” from 12:00 – 1:00 PM ET via phone (425) 440-5100, PIN 093980# or via the web at: http://iTeleseminar.com/73652637

(Note: You will receive 1 ICF CCU credit for this call if you attend live.)

Program Description:

In June, we focused on your clients’ experience of emotions. In this session, we will again be zeroing on emotions, but this time we’ll focus on your emotions as coach. In particular, our discussion will be about the emotions you experience with respect to your coaching skills and your coaching business. If you are like most coaches, these emotions range from excitement and delight, to worry and frustration. Sometimes you probably feel delighted by your coaching skills and how your clients are benefitting from their coaching sessions with you. Other times you may reflect on a coaching session with a vague feeling of uncertainty, not knowing if your client really got what s/he wanted from the session. When you consider your coaching business, you also feel a range of emotions: you may be content with the visibility of your business and how fast it is growing, or you may feel doubtful that you are doing the right things to develop a thriving coaching practice. All those emotions are good and valuable, assuming you are aware of what you are feeling and consciously leverage the gifts of emotion.

Come to this session with a story about your coaching business and practice (client confidentiality carefully protected). Pay attention to the mix of emotions you feel as you think about your focus.

In this judgment-free learning zone, we’ll learn how to:

1) Embrace the gifts of emotions.

2) Develop your ability to notice and to take advantage of your own emotions.

3) Grow yourself and build the strong foundation you bring in service to your clients.
